The July OFFSHC meeting took a new shape all together. The OK District United States Postal Service Safety Staff provided us with an introduction to PowerLift, the lift training that is presented to all newly-hired Postal employees. PowerLift is a patented lift training that utilizes a series of videos, safety talks, handouts, and hands-on demonstrations. The PowerLift training emphasizes the importance of stretching prior to performing strenuous physical activities and an extensive list of stretches were included in the hand-outs. To get the full experience-we did the stretches also! There were a few creaks and groans, but no serious damage!
